Deathly ill

When Carter was just a few weeks old I got the worst breast infection known to woman. My doctor first treated it with a common antibiotic but when that didn't work the drama started. Apparently it was MRSA (Carter got it from the hospital, probably from a nurse that didn’t wash her hands, and he gave it to me). I took really strong oral antibiotics for a few days it continued to get worse. Six weeks later, after many trips 2x’s a day for IV antibiotics, doctor visits 2-3 times a week (the whole office staff knows me by name) , lots of formula and pumping, and getting to know the pharmacist personally I was finally able to get rid of the darn thing. My OB has been a Doc for over 30 years and she said I won the award for the worst breast infection ever with no competition!!! I would rather not get that award again.

P.S.Thanks so much Kirk for being so helpful, never complaining, and the most wonderful Mr. Mom!!! (He loved that movie growing up)
P.P.S. Thanks mom for all the babysitting, dinners, and cleaning. My house stayed clean during the disaster.

I had no idea! I feel so out of it when we leave for the summers. I'm glad you are doing better though. And I'm glad to see you have a blog too. :)
