My new mode of transportation

Before: This is how we took bike rides before the trailer.

After:

Our first bike ride (I wish we had a pic) was when all the kids were home and everyone wanted to try it out so Kirk had Kaleb on the back of the bike, Katelyn was in the trailer holding Emma, and Carter was sitting next to them. We had a small mishaps and the bike tire popped when we were a little ways from home so Kirk got to pump all the kids back home on a flat tire. Way to go Kirk. I am hoping to be strong like him someday and to have some awesome legs by summer :) But no matter what, we are having fun!

Fruits and Veggies

In an effort to eat a little healthier we have started doing Bountiful Basket. This is our second week's worth of produce and are lovin' it! For the most part we have eaten everything, except the jicama was a little hard to handle. We didn't eat one of them so if anyone is dying to try it out let me know and it is all yours.

Happy Valentines (again)

Since Valentines was on Sunday this year we decided to celebrate on Friday. We kicked the night off with a candlelight dinner and steaks.
The kids all got treats and a balloon which was a big hit despite Carter's expresion (he is sitting on his frog balloon).

Kirk took Kaleb to a HS basketball game while Jeanne, Katelyn and I made bracelets and watched the opening ceremony to the Olympics. What a great Valentines- I LOVE my family

Happy Valentines (one week early)

I know Valentines is still one week away but as some of you may know we get so excited for holidays that we have a hard time waiting until the actual day. I took these photos of the kids for Kirk's Valentine present (I noticed that the only picture in Kirk's wallet was from when Katelyn and Kaleb were 1 and 3). I was so excited with the results that I just had to share one.

Thanks for all the props and photo tips Ashley :)

I can do so many new things

My baby is growing up. Just in the last few weeks she has mastered so many new things. She can now sit up from laying down, she has started to crawl (mostly army crawl), looks at books, gets into everything, and she just got her first tooth. It is so fun to see her personality emerge as she grows and learns new things. Emmy I love you!

Can you tell where we have been?
AVATAR 3-D!!!
Kirk's parents were brave enough to take care of all 4 kids while Kirk and I had date night. The movie was awesome. I felt a little nerdy with my glasses on and it was funny to look over and see Kirk (and the whole theater) with his on too. I have to admit I was a little hesitant to see it. The only thing I knew about the movie was that the kids got some weird blue dudes in their happy meal. I am not really into sci-fi but this amazing movie had it all (action, and a good love story). You definately have to see it in 3-D.
