works great because you don't have to fit new hinges and why spend money on something you hardly see anyway), finished all the touch ups, and installed the countertop myself. I used the adhesive tiles that are meant for floors. I figure if it can stand up to foot traffic I am sure it will survive a laundry room counter. It was super fun to watch the transformation and the best part is I did it all by myself without asking anyone for help (okay Kirk did help me put a few of the cupboard doors back on) I really enjoy the challenge of transforming our "fixer-upper" with out spending too much $$$. I always remind myself that it can't be any worse than when I started. So far I have always been pleased with the results.

I really am so impressed. Now I just need to come see it in person, right?
So cute--both your laundry room and Carter's room! I have been wanting to do a home improvement project, maybe I will tackle my laundry room. Thanks for the inspiration!
okay... that is so cute. I would have never thought of using those floor tiles for countertops. I have been wanting to re-paint my cabinets for a long time but I have never been brave enough. You have inspired me.
Jody, you're amazing, seriously. The laundry room is so cute!! Before and after pics are the best satisfaction you can get!! Good job!
You really do inspire me! You helped me change my laundry room but now I will have to start my kitchen. As soon as my personal sander has a couple of days off!! Love the countertops.
Brilliant ... just brilliant!
I am SO impressed! I would never take on a challenge by myself like that. Great transformation and way to be you! Will you come and paint my hallway cabinets now!?
