Fabulous 4th of July

We started preparing for the 4th of July the night before by decorating the kids bikes for the neighborhood parade. The bikes looked awesome thanks to Grandma's decorations and helping hand. The parade started at 7:00 a.m. followed by a pancake and watermelon breakfast.

By the time night came mom was way too tired and it was entirely too hot to sit outside so we enjoyed a great evening at grandma and grandpa's house. We had a BBQ, treats, and watched the fireworks on TV. We ended with our own fireworks show. Kaleb and Katelyn were pretty scared of the sparklers but after watching us for a few minutes they decided to give it a try. The day was a success and was one of our best 4th of July's.

For Time and Eternity

On July 2nd my brother and his wife Dani were sealed in the Mesa, AZ temple. It was a great experience and we were glad we could be a part of it. They are just about to have their first baby (a girl) in a few weeks. We are excited for them. Posted by Picasa

Grandma and Grandpa visit

Kirk's parents came to meet Carter for the first time. They were only here for a day but we managed to squeeze in a marshmellow roast. It was about 100 degrees outside so the fire wasn't actually needed to melt the chocolate or marshmellows. We had a fun time despite the heat.

The kids love to dance with Dad, and Grandpa even joined in the fun.

Family of Five

My neighbor and friend came over and took these awesome pictures of my kids. Carter was a little hungry and sad but they are still so adorable.
What a sweet girl. She just adores Carter. She would do just about anything for him. She will be an awesome mommy someday.

Carter was crying and Kaleb isn't exactly sure what to do with him. Does Kaleb's face get any better. This picture totally captures the expressions we see everyday by our funny Kaleb.

Welcome

Our 2nd beautiful boy is here. After 4 weeks on turbuteline to stop my contractions and "bedrest" (aka taking it easy and no shopping) Carter was born 2 weeks early. He fit right into our family. He weighed 6-7oz which is one oz less than Kaleb and one more oz than Katelyn. His height followed the same pattern at 19" (Katelyn was 18" and Kaleb was 20").
The delivery & epidural went well. No spinal headache this time- Yeah!!! He is so sweet and we love having a baby around our home. Kaleb was even willing to give up his McDonald toy car to his new brother. And Katelyn decorated Carter's new room with pictures and welcome signs.

San Francisco Trip

Since Kirk insisted we get a dog for Christmas, I needed a break from puppy training and Kirk suggested I take a trip.  My mom and I went to San Francisco to visit my sister.
