Our Favorite Museum (Children’s Museum of Phoenix)

The kids absolutely love running through the foam noodle maze, climbing through the 3 story high jungle gym, racing cars, shopping at the grocery store, going through the tricycle carwash, and basically just doing anything they want. 

The Wind Caves

As part of our staycation week we went for a little hike.  At least it was suppose to be a little hike.  We were enjoying ourselves too much and apparently missed this sign the first time.  So we kept going, and going, and going…  Finally,  after rock climbing, following no trail, and fearing that our children might fall over the edge we turned back.  30 minutes later we found this sign.

We were expecting a little more of a cave than this, and I guess that is how we missed it.  But it did make  for a very memorable trip.

Zoo Day

Today was the day we did all the extra fun stuff at the zoo that we usually say no to.  We had such a great day riding camels, petting stingrays, feeding a giraffe, taking a train ride, and riding the carousel 4x’s.  It was like visiting a brand new zoo

Winter Wonderland

You know you are in trouble when the forest ranger tells you there is a discount for the day because the snow isn’t great.

Katelyn has been dreaming of making a snowman for months.  Here is the long awaited friend.

One of Kaleb’s best friends was up in Flagstaff on the same day, so we met up for a memorable snowball fight.

Our Garden

Our garden is in and it is a much better showing than last year.  Now if those darn birds would stop eating the seeds, and pulling up my onions, we might be able to enjoy the fruits of our labors.

We planted in 2 areas this year.  Here is our list of veggies we are hoping will grow.

• Carrots
• cucumbers
• Red, yellow, green peppers
• Jalepeno (I’m not sure what I will do with these but it will be fun to see if they grow)
• Broccoli
• Onions
• Peas
• Beans
• Lettuce
• Spinach
• Garlic
• Tomatoes

Busy little girl

Emma is one busy little girl.  This is what happens when I turn my back for less than 30 seconds.

Emma grabbed my flat iron and burned her little thumb.  Her thumb was swollen for a couple of days and finally the blisters popped.  She had a raw thumb for a few weeks, but after much prayer and doctoring it healed perfectly.
